Whether you're building a mast, guitar, or custom windows, you need the highest quality softwoods you can find. Our softwood sawmill supplies the Sitka Spruce for Steinway & Sons. The specifiactions we require are generated from years of supplying the Great Lakes region with Sitka Spruce for masts, ice boats and airplane parts. All of our architectural softwoods, unless specified, are export grade (AA or higher) and quarter sawn. They are stocked 1" and 2" in the rough. When we discovered that we could provide the same quality to our customers in Red Cedar and Douglas Fir, we immeditely went to work with the Sawyer to specify what we now stock regularly.
